Procedures for admission of new organizations into the Transition Monitoring Group Coalition

  • Write a letter of application on your organizational letterhead to TMG (a scanned copy could be emailed), with organization's profile attached.
  • A membership information form will be issued by the TMG.

  • Submit the completed/signed form which will be verified in conjunction with state/zonal coordinators.

  • If satisfied with information provided, a letter of admission to the organization is issued by the TMG.

  • Admitted NGOs pay membership dues of N10, 000.00 (for head office) and N5, 000.00 each (for branch offices, they chose to register them too.)
  • Delivery of TMG's constitution and selected publications are made available to new members at this point.
  • Organization's name is uploaded on the database of TMG members (according to state)

  • The attendant State Coordinator is informed of the new member organization and they are there on after included in states' activities of TMG.

Note:  4 and 5 may be interchanged depending on circumstances

TMG is a coalition of more than 300 NGOs and CSOs across Nigeria. Since her inception in 1998, TMG has gained repute in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large as an incisive and consistently thorough monitor of elections and democratic governance as a whole in Nigeria. Her activities have inspired and informed the formation of similar coalitions across Africa.
